Become A Volunteer
ACORN Clinic uses a broad range of volunteers from the healthcare community in North Central Florida to help fulfill the Clinic’s mission of providing affordable high-quality medical, dental, and mental health services for our target audience of low-income, rural patients. Our use of healthcare professionals includes: physicians, nurse practitioners, physicians’ assistants, pharmacists, dentists, dental hygienists, nurses, medical assistants, dental assistants, and others.
We are delighted to assist you in accessing appropriate volunteer opportunities wherever possible at ACORN. The Clinic must meet requirements of outside funding or regulatory agencies.
For the Dental Clinic, dentists, hygienists and assistants are welcome and appreciated. Flexible scheduling is available. ACORN Clinic staff dental assistants are provided for volunteer dentists.
Those interested in volunteer service through the Dental Clinic are encouraged to contact Laurie Jennings at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you are a pre-dental student, a description and application are attached. The completed application and your resume can be sent to Laurie.
